Ira J. Hammer advises small and medium-sized businesses with regard to intellectual property, contract, corporate and commercial law based on his more than forty years of experience.
Ira started his practice as a commercial litigator and after working on a significant intellectual property case, took the patent bar and was admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. For the next fifteen years, his practice focused on litigation of intellectual property, contract, corporate and commercial matters, as well as the prosecution of trademark, copyright and patent applications and counseling clients on various intellectual property and corporate matters. Over time, the emphasis of his practice changed from litigation to the protection and licensing of intellectual property, advising clients on a wide range of corporate issues and the negotiation of commercial contracts, including the prosecution, counseling and licensing involving intellectual property and technology.
